Straight Bourbon Whiskey Single Barrel Selection: MK-1174

This Single Barrel Selection was distilled at MGP Indiana in December 2017 and matured for over 6 years in Kentucky. The whiskey was brought up to Copper & Cask HQ where it matured for another year plus, and then was bottled at over 7 years. 

Mash Bill: 75% CORN, 21% RYE, 4% MALTED BARLEY
61.6% ABV 123.2 proof

Tasting Notes:
The nose on this whiskey is robust with heavy notes of oak char and burnt sugar.  Once sipped, sweeter flavors of gumdrops and candied orange peel appear before receding to earthier notes of slate and espresso powder. The finish is long and layered with hints of brown sugar, pipe tobacco and star anise.
