Product Info

This year’s Double Oak release is a 32-barrel batch composed of both low-rye (21%) and high-rye (36%) Bourbon, aged for a minimum of nine years. The whiskey was finished in new Char 1 American oak barrels from ZAK Cooperage, with 4 different custom toast levels, along with a combination of standard and grooved stave barrels.

Tasting Notes

On the nose, this whiskey is robust with aromas of demerara sugar and espresso. Once sipped, sweeter flavors of dark maple syrup and creme brûlée come to the fore, giving way to richer notes of cocoa powder and candied orange peel. The finish is long with hints of mocha, burnt sugar and chocolate covered cherries.

A note from our barrel Master

"We worked with Zak Cooperage to do a lot of customization on the new oak finishing barrels for this whiskey, helping us achieve a well-rounded profile that integrates the extra layer of oak."
