This year’s Cigar Blend Bourbon is a 33-barrel batch composed of both low-rye (21%) and high-rye (36%) Bourbon, aged for a minimum of nine years. The barrels were finished in a combination of Cognac, Armagnac, Oloroso Sherry and Tawny Port casks for at least 9 months. A portion of the blend was finished in 25-year Cognac casks and 20-year Armagnac casks, producing a depth of flavor not seen in prior releases.

Tasting Notes

On the nose, this whiskey is lively with aromas of cherry jam and fresh orange zest. Once sipped, sweeter flavors of burnt sugar and butterscotch appear before revealing dark fruit notes of roasted plums and blueberry compote. The finish is long with hints cola, fruitcake and toasted walnuts.
