8-Year Double Oak Bourbon Private Batch: SP-06

This Private Batch bottling is a 10-barrel blend of 8-year high-rye (36%) Bourbon barrels, all distilled in Indiana and primarily aged in Kentucky. The barrels were brought up to Copper & Cask in Rhode Island where they were blended and then re-casked into new Char 1 oak barrels for approximately 10 months.

Mash Bill: 60% CORN, 36% RYE, 4% MALTED BARLEY

59.4% ABV

On the nose, this whiskey is rich with aromas of burnt sugar and toasted marshmallow. Once sipped, sweeter flavors of dark caramel and maple syrup come to the fore, then revealing more robust notes of mocha and chai tea. The finish is long and layered with hints of vanilla icing, Mexican chocolate and leather.
