Straight Bourbon High-Rye Whiskey Single Barrel Selection: MK-613

This Single Barrel Selection was distilled at MGP Indiana in October 2016, and was aged in Kentucky for over 7 years. The whiskey was then brought to Copper & Cask HQ where it finished maturation and was bottled at just over 8 years. Like all Copper & Cask whiskeys, this bottling is barrel proof, non-chill filtered.

Mash Bill: 60% CORN, 36% RYE, 4% MALTED BARLEY
61.2% ABV

Tasting Notes:
On the nose, this whiskey is lively with notes of orange zest and cinnamon coffee cake.  Once sipped, spicier flavors of fruitcake and chai tea emerge before giving way to fruitier notes of cherry compote and marzipan. The finish is long and complex with hints of molasses, raw honey and licorice.
