8-Year High-Rye Bourbon Whiskey Single Barrel Selection: MK-1502

This Single Barrel Selection was distilled at MGP Indiana in October 2016, and then matured for over 7 years in Kentucky. The whiskey was brought up to Copper & Cask HQ to finish aging, before being bottled at over 8.5 years.

Mash Bill: 60% CORN, 36% RYE, 4% MALTED BARLEY 56.7% ABV

On the nose, this whiskey is robust with aromas of nutmeg and cherry jam. Once sipped, lively flavors of candied grapefruit and apple appear, before giving way to notes of rock candy and honey. The finish is long, featuring hints of burnt sugar, toasted walnut and molasses.
