8-Year High-Rye Bourbon Whiskey Single Barrel Selection: MK-1499

This Single Barrel Selection was distilled at MGP Indiana in October 2016, and then matured for over 7 years in Kentucky. The whiskey was brought up to Copper & Cask HQ to finish aging, before being bottled at over 8.5 years.

Mash Bill: 60% CORN, 36% RYE, 4% MALTED BARLEY 56.3% ABV

On the nose, this whiskey displays fruit aromas of orange slices and dark cherry. Once sipped, fruitiness continues with notes of plum and baked apple before spicy notes of chai tea and gingerbread appear. The finish is long with hints of toasted almonds, raw honey and maraschino cherry.
