Straight Bourbon Whiskey High Rye Single Barrel Selection: MK-1062

This Single Barrel Selection was distilled at MGP Indiana in October 2016, and then spent the majority of its life maturing in Kentucky. The whiskey was then brought up to Copper & Cask HQ to finish aging before being bottled in June 2024 at almost 8.5yrs.

Mash Bill: 60% CORN, 36% RYE, 4% MALTED BARLEY
60.4% ABV

Tasting Notes:
On the nose, this whiskey is robust with aromas of dark roast coffee, burnt sugar and flamed orange peel. Once sipped, lively flavors of grapefruit zest and cinnamon candies are apparent before revealing darker fruit notes of cherry cola and blackberry jam. The finish is long and layered with hints of coffee cake, dark maple syrup and leather.
