Straight Bourbon Whiskey High-Rye Single Barrel Selection: MK-1059

This Single Barrel Selection was distilled at MGP Indiana in October 2016, and then matured for nearly 7 years in Kentucky. The whiskey was then brought up to Copper & Cask HQ where it was eventually bottled at just shy of 8 years.

Mash Bill: 60% CORN, 36% RYE, 4% MALTED BARLEY
56.6% ABV

Tasting Notes:
Fresh baked cinnamon rolls and cherry danish greet the nose on this whiskey. Upon sipping, fruit flavors of maraschino cherries and raw honey come to the fore, before the palate becomes richer with notes of maple syrup and candied orange peel. The finish is long with continued hints of maple paired with bruleed sugar and espresso.
