Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished with Oak Staves, Single Barrel Selection: LP-717

This Single Barrel Selection was distilled at MGP Indiana in May 2017. The whiskey was matured for over seven years in its original oak cask, then was finished with a variety of second use toasted French oak staves. The Bourbon was bottled in August 2024.

Mash Bill: 75% CORN, 21% RYE, 4% MALTED BARLEY
63.4% ABV

Tasting Notes:
On the nose, this whiskey displays aromas of citrus and nutmeg. Once sipped, the flavors of milk chocolate and orange zest are immediately apparent before giving way to notes of baked apple and mulling spices.  The finish is long and comes in waves with hints of dark chocolate, toasted pecans and clove.
