8-Year Armagnac Finished Bourbon Single Barrel Selection: DC-852

This Single Barrel Selection was distilled at MGP Indiana in January 2017, and matured there for over 7 years. The whiskey was brought up to Copper & Cask HQ and transferred into an Armagnac barrel for finishing, before being bottled at 8.5 years. The total finishing time was approximately 1 year.

Mash Bill: 75% CORN, 21% RYE, 4% MALTED BARLEY 62.3% ABV

On the nose, this whiskey displays bright aromas of cake icing and fresh orange zest. Once sipped, those bright flavors carry over with grapefruit zest and rock candy before turning to dark fruit notes of cherries and blackberry jam. The finish is long and structured with hints of creme brulee, raisins and pipe tobacco.
