8-Year Sauternes Finished High-Rye Bourbon Single Barrel Selection: DC-814

This Single Barrel Selection was distilled at MGP Indiana in October 2016 and was primarily matured in Kentucky. The whiskey was brought up to Copper & Cask HQ where it was transferred into a Sauternes cask for finishing. After spending 16 months in finishing barrel, the whiskey was bottled in August 2025 at approximately 8 years, 10 months.

Mash Bill: 60% CORN, 36% RYE, 4% MALTED BARLEY 59.9% ABV

On the nose, this whiskey is unctuous with aromas of raisins and fresh plums.  Once sipped, fruit dominates the palate with flavors of figs and raw honey before revealing notes of chocolate covered raisins and fruit tea. The finish is long and layered with hints of gingerbread, molasses and pipe tobacco.
