Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished in PX Sherry Cask, Single Barrel Selection: DC-809

This Single Barrel Selection was distilled at MGP Indiana in October 2017. The whiskey was matured for over seven years in its original oak cask, then was finished in a barrel that previously held PX Sherry. The Bourbon was bottled in August 2024 at cask strength.

Mash Bill: 60% CORN, 36% RYE, 4% MALTED BARLEY
57.8% ABV

Tasting Notes:
On the nose, this whiskey is full of dried fruit, including raisins and dried figs. Once sipped, fruitiness comes to the fore with flavors of dried apple and plums before spicier notes of chai latte and cinnamon candies. The finish is long and decadent with hints of brandied cherries, blueberry jam and creme caramel.
