Straight Bourbon Whiskey Double Oak Single Barrel Selection: DC-431

This Single Barrel Selection was distilled at MGP Indiana in November 2016, and then matured for over 7 years in Kentucky. The whiskey was then brought to Copper & Cask HQ where it was re-casked and finished in an STR (shaved, toasted, recharged) barrel. The whiskey was bottled at 8 years. Like all Copper & Cask whiskeys, this bottling is barrel proof, non-chill filtered.

Mash Bill: 75% CORN, 21% RYE, 4% MALTED BARLEY
62.8% ABV

Tasting Notes:
On the nose, this whiskey is rich with aromas of toffee and cherry. Once sipped, sweeter flavors of bruleed sugar and molasses are present before fruitier notes of strawberry pastry and grape fruit leather. The finish is long and complex with hints of vanilla cola, crystallized honey and hickory.
