8-Year Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished in Oloroso Sherry Cask Single Barrel Selection: DC-1001

This Single Barrel Selection was distilled at MGP Indiana in December 2016, and then matured for approximately 7 years in Kentucky. The whiskey was brought up to Copper & Cask HQ and was dumped into an Oloroso Sherry cask for just shy of a year of finishing. The whiskey was bottled at 8.5 years.

Mash Bill: 75% CORN, 21% RYE, 4% MALTED BARLEY

59.4% ABV

On the nose, this whiskey is full of fruity aromas of fruit punch and plums. Once sipped, notes of cranberry and fig persist before giving way to richer flavors of butterscotch and apple pie. The finish is long and layered with hints of peach cobbler, toasted almond and candied orange.
