This High Rye Single Barrel was selected by our friends at Heavy Bourbon. The whiskey was distilled at MGP Indiana in October 2016, and then matured for over 6 years in Kentucky. The barrel was brought up to Copper & Cask HQ where it matured for another year plus, and then was bottled at nearly 8.5 years.

Tasting Notes:
On the nose, this whiskey displays aromas of cherry danish and mixed berry tea. Once sipped, spiced flavors of gingerbread and orange tea come to the fore, giving way to sweeter notes of blueberry jam and cola on the mid-palate. The finish is long and returns to spiced hints of chai tea, anise cookies and black licorice.
