LP-105: "LEGENDARYE"
This "unofficial" Barrel Master Selection was originally released in September 2022, prior to the launch of our "official" Barrel Master Label. The whiskey is a 95% rye, distilled at MGP Indiana and aged for just shy of 6 years. The whiskey was finished in a second oak barrel that had previously been used to age a high-barley rye whiskey that held the very first Copper & Cask Barrel Master selection "Melted Eye".

We thought this whiskey was long gone years ago, but a few last cases were discovered in our warehouse, so we're making them available here, online only. For the collectors out there, this was one of the first Copper & Cask releases to have a black label.

Tasting Notes:
This whiskey is bright and lively on the nose with aromas of lemon zest and rock candy. Once sipped, citrus notes of grapefruit peel and lemon candies arise before spicier flavors of fresh ginger and cinnamon. The finish lingers and is replete with baking spices including hints of allspice, star anise and vanilla.
